The International Ecotourism Society in 2005 estimated the report on the tourism industry to contribute $3.6 trillion in economic activity and is growing at the rate of 20%-34% annually. As much as the protection of the environment benefits everyone, the reality is that, because of the economic benefits they can bring, CSR efforts for the issue is the primary motivation for most companies."
