"The crime which is specifically under investigation in this account is the murder of petty criminal, David Fargo. The larger implications of this investigation would be the uncovering of all information pertinent to the criminal and business activities of the primary suspect, and former associate of Mr. Fargo, Robert Jones. As it is believed that Mr. Jones' association with reputed organized crime figure Antonio Soprano as well as his history of malfeasant computer activity and fraudulence are causes beyond his association to the victim to consider him a worthwhile candidate for considerable investigation, the raid planned here of his home and JIP Ltd, his corporate front, may likely produce evidence of his association to the death of Mr. Fargo, and failing that, would exonerate him of a crime for which we believe there is a great deal of circumstantial cause to connect the businessman.
"Information for which we are in pursuit would include any correspondences between the suspect and the victim in the close proximity to the date of his murder, any correspondences which might connect the suspect to any additional figures of investigative interest--including Antonio Soprano--or any correspondences which might help to place (or to displace) the suspect's whereabouts during the time of the homicide. Additional information of pertinence would be that concerning all financial documents, all financial transactions and a general composite sketch of the monetary activities of the company and of Jones himself in the period of time surrounding the incident at subject. Another anticipated requirement of the investigation would be the acquisition of any correspondences, documents, transactions or information establishing a direct relationship, and the nature of this direct relationship, between the victim and the suspect, or between the victim and any direct associates of the suspect. Moreover, all personal correspondences of the suspect between friends, relatives and associates may also be considered subject to this active investigation."
