The homepage states that the company "strives to provide the finest customer service within the mutual fund industry" ("What's New" para. 8). Customer service is emphasized with reference to this specific aspect of the business of Seligman because this section deals directly with the public and depends on the ability to serve the public. Another reason is pride in the fact that Seligman was named in 2004 the winter of the DALBAR Mutual Fund Services Award, with DALBAR being an independent third party quality measurement firm for the financial services industry. Abstract
The premise of this study is that there has been particular neglect at the most fundamental level in this realm, namely, the task of defining the essential features of psychological well being. It is argued in this paper that much of the prior literature was founded on conceptions of well-being that have little theoretical rationale and, as a consequence, neglect important aspects of positive functioning.

More importantly, when such people do spend time with their loved ones they tend to dwell on their hardships at work or speak about the negative aspects of their work environment. Thus, it is not only important to determine the elements that constitute to happiness, but it is also equally important to identify ways that will allow an individual to make the most out of their relationships."
