Abstract
An examination of the Van der Waal equation of state in a Virial expansion and a look at how Polymers are being used today in every walk of life. This paper shows how polymers are well-defined aggregates of very simple organic molecules. It defines these matters and looks at their uses in biochemistry.

From the Paper
"From thermodynamics and the kinetic theory of gases, the Pressure of an ideal gas is described as sum of the transfer of collision energy of gas molecules on the walls of the container. The inter-atomic interactions depend upon the density of the system. Inter-particle interactions, primarily attractive forces, reduce the overall pressure of the system. This interaction is called internal pressure. By rewriting the Van der Waal equation of state in a Virial expansion, we obtain an equation for Pressure p: (Atkins, 1987)
p = RT/(Vm ? b) - a/Vm2
a/Vm2 is the internal pressure of the gas; a and b are constants for each gas and Vm is the molar volume of the gas, R is the Gas Constant."

Project Management: "Chemical Highway", 2005.
This paper is a complete course project for a Project Management class; the fictitious company is called "Chemical Highway", which sells polymers.

Abstract
This paper explains that the goal of the project is to shift the focus from selling products only to raw material manufacturers to selling products directly to the end-users. The author points out that customer review and beta testing are very important for the success of the project because knowing customers' feelings about the company and its product will help the company establish a brand name. The paper relates that quantitative measures will be used to ensure that the project is completed on time and on schedule and will serve as the performance measurement system. Charts. Illustrations.

From the Paper
"Goal Definition: Currently our company holds the patent and all the legal rights to sell certain kind of polymers that are used through out the world by construction companies and other building development projects. The problem that we are facing is that our company sells these products to bigger manufacturers that only dilutes our products and sells it the end customer at higher margins. Plus being a big brand they are able to sell it at those prices and get good price quotes from us. Goal of the Redwood project is to manufacture the diluted product that is thoroughly tested and readily accepted by the end-user. The idea is to fully utilize the patents and technology that Chemical Highway already processes."

Design for Functional Materials Made of Small Fullerenes, 2003.
This paper studies the most favorable structure of the C28 solid in order to design functional materials that are made of this carbon fullerene.
4,700 words (approx. 18.8 pages), 26 sources, MLA, $ 121.95

Abstract
In this work, two members of the carbon fullerenes are inspected. One of them is C36 while the other was C28. However, the former is used only as the precursor. By using simulated annealing in molecular dynamics, the monomer, dimers, trimers and tetramers of C28 fullerenes are compared to bulk modifications of C28. The structures, energies, density of states and the highest occupied molecular orbital (HOMO) and lowest unoccupied molecular orbital (LUMO) gaps of C28 are also calculated. The result of the energy gap (0.20eV) of the tetrahedral structure and its cohesive energy (-7.48eV) show that the solid fullerene made of C28 is most likely formed in the tetrahedral form, hyperdiamond. The comparison of the density of states in hyperdiamond structure with that in C28 monomer shows some broadening of levels, however all the features in the DOS of hyperdiamond could be traced to features in the DOS of the isolated C28 cluster. It agrees with the proposition of Kroto [6] that C28 should behave as a carbon superatom with four preferred active sites.

From the Paper
"Science and technology related to carbon fullerenes have attracted the attention and research interest of numerous of scientists over the past decade. Many scientific investigations have been carried out after the discovery of Buckminster fullerenes (BF, C60). However, the mechanism of the formation of the fullerenes from carbon vapour is still a mystery. Only a few pure fullerene solids have been obtained beyond C60 [1]."

Abstract
This paper looks at the idea of plastics, how it affects the community and how it is consumed within the business world and everyday life. With a look at how the first polymers were produced in the early nineteen hundreds, to how businesses work within the law and economic structure to enable safe expenditure of their products and also how pollution can have effects upon natural regions.

Zenobia.
An examination of the contributions of Roman empress Zenobia during her reign.

Abstract
A discussion about the empress of Byzantine Rome, Zenobia. It examines why she was such an influential ruler and how, under her rule, the city of Polymer flourished. It looks at her personal character traits and shows how her strength and determination could be lessons for women today.

From the Paper
"Zenobia accomplished many feats during her time and today we are still learning about them. She stood up for what she believed in and gave it her all, through bravery, strength, and the honor of who she was. There are women that come from different countries, different family morals and even different centuries that make a difference in their time and as well the future. Zenobia like many modern women of today learned that she could make a difference in her world."
