Abstract
The paper discusses how the 21st century form of communicating and social networking among teens has brought the Internet into the fore; Myspace, YouTube and Facebook are websites that allow teens (among others) to network. However, the paper asserts that there are multiple danges- ranging from cyberbullying to sexual predators and illegal use of "free speech" in making remarks that may not even be true about school, class mates, neighbors, etc.
From the Paper
"Our grandparents had strictly supervised dances where the boys sat on one side of the gym, the girls on the other. Our parents had sleepovers and limos to the prom, and mash notes left in text books promising all sorts of sensuous delights (often fictional or merely wishful thinking). The 21st Century now has a form of social networking which is both titillating and, on occasion dangerous: the posting of pictures, biographical data (real or made-up) and the sometimes blatant offer for NSA (No strings attached) sex. The location: One's own computer and the websites of YouTube and Myspace and Facebook."

Abstract
This paper looks at the cultural and ethnic background of Sacramento County and how this will effect the growth of the Hmong Alliance Church, located in Elk Grove, California. The paper also discusses the history of the Hmong Church from its origins in Laos to its establishment in the United States. Finally, the paper presents an evaluation of the Church's attempt to meet the needs of the growing Hmong population and looks at the Church's plans for future development.
From the Paper
"In short, the Hmong people face acculturation, ethnicity, second language acquisition, native language maintenance, self-esteem, and many other factors that influence the growth potential of their church. The church is not only their spiritual place of worship but provides many of them with the cultural and social outlet that they need. The Sacramento Hmong Alliance Church will need to address all of these needs for continued growth."
