Abstract
Connectionism, eliminative materialism, and even functionalism have shown the weaknesses in folk psychology. We also see the complexity of the entire phenomenon in the realm of mental representations and the computational approach. Indeed, in examining the question of whether computers can think like the brain, we crystallize and illuminate many of these complex questions. Overall, while many theories and views cast doubt on folk psychology, however, they continue to have just as many flaws in their own assumptions, and folk psychology continues to have a certain structure that underpins our basic understandings. In other words, it has its flaws, but there is yet to be anything to sufficiently and successfully replace it.

Abstract
This paper assesses the behaviorist's perspective on learning and its capacity to explain the human learning process within the workplace setting. The paper starts by introducing the development of the perspective of behaviorism on learning, comparing it with three other equally important theories of learning, namely, cognitivism, humanism and constructivism. Next, the paper critically assesses the learning theories of behaviorism and its application to current workplace settings and explains the shortcomings of behaviorism revealed by this study.

"The school of Behaviorism primarily has two agents, that is, the teacher and the student. The teacher is obliged to set the path of learning by identifying, calculating and perceiving the objectives, while the student is compelled to achieve these objectives and also produce reactions derived from external/internal motivation. The assumption set forth by the behavioral scientists is that if the humans are given a particular controlled-environment, they can be trained to behave in a particular way, on a consistent basis. This theory had been initially tested with mice and the positive results of those studies motivated the researchers to enhance and broaden their theory to include humans. The outcome of the relationship between the teacher and the student has produced positive outcomes (David C. Leonard, 2002)."

Abstract
This paper explains that literature is not replete with studies on male and female single gender education as being a better road to college success than coeducational venues; however, available literature is contradictory. The author states that the data will be both historical and numerical, using a testable hypothesis, questionnaire, and statistical data analysis; college success will be defined by freshman year college grade points over four quarters of study wherein at least 12 credit hours were attempted. The paper states that the research variables under consideration will include acquired academic strengths, emotional growth, participatory leadership development, and social connectionism as preparatory measures for success in college or university.

Abstract
This paper offers a brief explanation of the dynamical hypothesis in artificial intelligence and compares it to the computational hypothesis. The paper points out that the two hypotheses do not necessarily conflict with each other and that the certain aspects of the dynamical hypothesis actually embrace the computational hypothesis.

Abstract
Second Language Acquisition is a field of inquiry that abounds in theories, while at the same time no single approach has adequately explained how language acquisition takes place. One reason for this might be that linguists interested in SLA have been trained in different disciplines, such as linguistics, psycholinguistics, sociolinguistics and neurolinguistics. The paper explains that, naturally, they have approached SLA from very different perspectives and treat all the variables involved in the learning process differently. The situation appears to be very confusing and frustrating. All the present theories, hypotheses, and models are all preliminary work done toward the ultimate goal of a true theory. The paper shows that in this sense, the different approaches taken by linguists and researchers are never worthless. They have uncovered bits and pieces of the whole complexity of language acquisition. Hopefully, the continuing and combined efforts made by linguists and researchers will lead to the ultimate success of establishing the true theory in language acquisition as well as in SLA.

"Linguistics is one of the newest fields of scientific inquiry. It was developed into an independent discipline of social science in the United Sates first "as an offshoot of anthropology" in the first half of the twentieth century in an attempt to investigate into the disappearing American indigenous languages (Lakoff, 2000, p. 2-3). Traditionally, it has been concerned with the analysis of language, namely its phonology, morphology and syntax. Following this tradition, Norm Chomsky in the 1950s put forward his milestone transformational generative grammar (TGG), which assumed "an ideal speaker-listener, in a completely homogeneous speech-community" unaffected by any external factors in his exploration of the Universal Grammar (UG), the general rules of language (Chomsky, 1965, p.3). This is basically an asocial or theoretical view in linguistic studies as opposed to the social view which claims knowing a language also means "knowing how to use that language"(Wardhaugh, 2002, p.3) in social contexts. Adopting either or both of the two views, linguistics and researchers alike have postulated a multitude of theories, approaches, and models in the inquiry into the nature of language and language acquisition, which appear to be conflicting ones fighting against one another."

Abstract
The writer explains that John Wesley and his brother, Charles, founded the movement as an alternative to the English Anglican Church. The paper shows how the Methodist Episcopal Church began its migration to the Colonies in approximately 1772, and how the Church began to take on radical changes from the doctrines of Wesleyan Methodism. Included in these changes was the renaming of the church to The United Methodist Church. In summation, in opposition to the original doctrine of the Church regarding centralized functioning, the paper shows that the majority of attendees feel that decisions made in the local church will be more effective.

"At the same time as the Southern migration is occurring the Methodist movement is also moving Northward across the Ohio River, and into Indiana. This migration is taking place within a period a full fifteen years before Indiana becomes a State and creates for the Methodist Episcopal Church many contentious issues concerning the governance of the Church and its mission at this point in History. For example, with a Church population spreading so rapidly and far flung, how does the Methodist Episcopal Church provide "ministers," for their large and now scattered flock?
"Indiana ironically enough and to the displeasure of John and Charles Wesley becomes the center for control of the Church and from this organization of power comes the new organization known as the United Methodist Church. For American Methodism theology, doctrine, leadership, organization and worship models come directly from John Wesley's movement of the eighteenth century England. However, Wesley's appeal is to English Anglicans whose relationship to their church had been decidedly "luke-warm," and is lacking in the drive for a personal God-man relationship. It is the desire for a personal God-man relationship that the persons in the frontier of the rapidly expanding United States want most to aid and comfort them in the endurance of the hardships they face."
