Abstract
The paper discusses how computer interface design has developed into a discipline that has moved from simply providing the means for the user to access programs and accomplish tasks on the computer to a discipline that considers every aspect of the experience of using the computer. The paper explains that ease of use has always been a goal, making the interface between user and computer easy to learn and easy to use, and fields such as ergonomics are also included so that the operation of the computer is as comfortable and painless as possible. The paper relates that the term interface first meant only the hardware and software through which the human being and the computer could communicate, but it has come to include the cognitive and emotional aspects of the user's experience as well.

Abstract
This paper examines the history of computer modeling and animation in adult computer games over the last two decades. Beginning by providing some needed context on Tom Hudson and Gary Yost (two giants of computer games architecture development), the writer then carefully describes the earliest manifestations of CAD-3D technology. The paper then explains the many achievements of Tom Hudson (and a few others) as he (and they) slowly worked towards 3D Studio (and beyond) and today's contemporary 3Ds Max technology. The paper concludes by looking at what the future holds for 3Ds Max software and for computer games in general.
From the Paper
"In the final analysis, this writer is of the view that the last several versions of the 3Ds Max have been, more or less, expansions upon earlier themes or innovations; they have not been radical departures from the past. Consequently, the future will probably continue to see the same linear progression while those who enjoy playing computer games will find themselves confronted with entertainment that features more in-depth narratives, more complicated story lines, and more arresting visual imagery; in effect, adult users of adult computer games will be basically "playing" movies - with themselves as the directors."

Abstract
This paper discusses recent concerns in computer security and computer ethics, with an emphasis on logical security. First, the paper deals with security issues on the side of software developers who may insert various threats into the software they create for their employer. The paper also considers the impact of hackers who break into individuals' computer systems without their permission and either commit vandalism or steal data. This leads into an analysis of computer privacy, which includes a look at employers monitoring their workers' email. Various sides of this controversy are explored, concluding with the suggestion that companies create policies dealing with Internet usage and email, and then stick by them.
From the Paper
"There are many malicious types of software out there and these are providing strong challenges for computer security. These include the popular viruses which end up being inserted into various computer programs because they cannot run on their own, worms which travel from machine to other machines throughout networks and Trojan horses which actually look to be a particular type of program but behind the scenes are doing a great deal of damage (Bynum, 1993). There are also software issues called logic bombs which look for specific conditions on a computer and then when those conditions show up they will execute a file . Committing a computer crime such as the planting of a logic bombs or finding a way to embezzle money from the computer are often committed by personnel who have been trusted with the permission to utilize the computer system of the company. Cyber ethics, therefore, does not just deal with individuals who are deemed as criminals but with the actions of those who are trusted to use the computer as well ."

Abstract
This paper explains that, during the 1960s, IBM entered the computer field with a technological impressiveness 'mini super computer', into a market dominated by Apple Computer Inc. and Tandy Corporation's Radio Shack Division. The author points out that, due to wrong strategic choices, IBM's share in the personal computer market had been eroding until finally, in 2005, IBM had to exit the business by selling out to Lenovo, which is a Chinese company, getting a share of the equity in return. The paper states that today, the most important question in the industry is whether or not the Chinese Lenovo will be able to succeed in the personal computer market in the same way that IBM did years ago.
From the Paper
"In addition, it is facing mounting threats and challenges from the various other competitors in the market, and several analysts have in fact been issuing warnings to the company about this. Gartner has warned that they would be forced to launch a campaign in which significant 'cost cutting' methods would be analyzed and implemented, so that they would be able to face the growing threats from Dell and from IBM, and Lenovo, with some ease. Today, HP is one of the leading manufacturers of IT hardware in the world, and its sales figures show that in the first quarter of the year 2005, it had sales of about $13.5 billions. However, state experts, this may not be sufficient enough for Hewlett Packard to be able to keep up its current position of unchallenged leader, and it may have to step down for its competitors."

Abstract
This paper discusses the current trend of computer hacking and cracking. The paper explains the difference between a computer hacker and a computer cracker and offers modern day situations that involve computer cracking.
From the Paper
"A computer hacker is a person interested in exploring a closed computer system. A cracker is a term coined by computer hackers to describe an individual that is intent on doing harm during his or her unlawful invasion of a closed computer system. Angela Gunn describes the differences between crackers and hackers this way: Hackers poke into systems to find out how they work. Crackers break into systems to raise hell."

Abstract
This paper examines common types of computer crime and how to guard against it. It looks at the threats facing society from in adequate computer security and defines computer crimes and motives behind those committing them.
From the Paper
"Computers have moved from being used only in the largest government departments and multinational corporations to being ubiquitous in American business. The number of individuals who have access to the information on those computers has increased as the communications industry has undergone a revolution in recent years and uncontrolled access to information presents a very real threat in most business and some government information. Because of the highly significant role that computers play in modern life there is a need to keep information on machines secure ..."

Abstract
This paper examines the field of forensic computer investigations which is effectively used to trace illegal and unethical activities of employees, as well as tracking down various cyber-related criminals. Forensic computer investigation is a scientific approach to legal investigations and is used when trying to find evidence against those suspected of criminal activities. Forensic computer investigations are also used when trying to recover accidentally deleted or lost data. This paper details the various methods of collecting, preserving and analyzing forensic evidence.
Table of Contents:
Introduction
Approach to Forensic Investigation
Interviewing and Examining the Evidence
Collection and Protection of the Evidence
Preparing for Analysis
Concluding the Investigation
Works Cited
From the Paper
"The first step in a forensic computer analysis is to interview the investigators and the victims of a particular investigation. Interviews with the investigators and the victims help the analyst to gain a deeper understanding of the incident, learn about the results of investigation, about the views and concerns of the victims and the true nature of the incident. In addition to this, the analyst should also gather information about the information system or the computer involved in the incident, the suspects and the most probable lawsuit to be filed. Although, interviews are a preliminary step and often do not require too much allocation of time but they are the most important aspect of an investigation because they form the basis for the overall investigation."

Abstract
The paper looks at the development of the Apple Macintosh computer as well as its historical significance. Specifically, the paper traces the rise of the Mac from the first crude conceptions of an "integrated" and user-friendly computer in the 1970s to its dramatic explosion upon the scene in early 1984 to its gradual evolution ever since. In so doing, the paper emphasizes the incremental nature of Mac's maturation over time and how the new product debilitated the old print publishing industry by giving ordinary citizens access to tools once wholly the preserve of "big-city" publishing and printing houses. Finally, and most importantly, the paper touches upon what the Mac has meant to "people/computer" relations over the last 22 years. The paper shows how the Mac has brought hi-tech into the typical home and made computers, quite literally, a part of the family.
From the Paper
"January 1984 will be remembered as the month wherein computers went from being frightening and sometimes inexplicable creations that cowed most people into creations that were user-friendly and even engaging. In other words, January 1984 marked the arrival of the Apple Macintosh personal computer. As one might expect, the next several pages will look at the development of the Apple Macintosh Computer as well as its historical significance. Specifically, the paper will trace the rise of the Mac from the first crude conceptions of an "integrated" and user-friendly computer in the 1970s to its dramatic explosion upon the scene in early 1984 to its..."
