Abstract
The paper posits that the story of governance in Venezuela over the past decade has been the story of Hugo Chavez. The paper explains that since being elected president of Venezuela in 1998 the former career military officer has - with the exception of a brief period during the attempted coup of 2002 - dominated political and economic affairs in his country, and played a significant role on the Latin American stage. This paper examines Chavez's governance of Venezuela, with a particular focus on the impact of his leadership style on his country's political system. The thesis is argued that Chavez's populism is, in large measure, a consequence of the political bankruptcy of Venezuela's party system at the end of the 20th century. The paper explains that Chavez's populist leadership reinforced the pre-existing state of collapse of Venezuela's traditional political order, while continuing the statist institutional policies that have long defined Venezuelan economic policy.
From the Paper

Abstract
This paper examines how the American peoplereact to foreign leaders, particularly focusing on Vladimir Putin and Hugo Chavez. According to the paper, the current administration is largely tolerant of Vladimir Putin, the Prime Minister of Russia, while the administration is hostile to Hugo Chavez, President of Venezuela. The paper further notes that public reaction to Putin is somewhat less friendly because of persisting associations with the enmity toward the former Soviet Union, while Chavez has been viewed with hostility in part because of the well-publicized speech he made at the United Nations in which he called George Bush the Devil.
From the Paper
"The American people often react to foreign leaders on the basis of how the American government does, though certain other issues can shape that response as well. The current administration is largely tolerant of Vladimir Putin, the Prime Minister of Russia, while the administration is hostile to Hugo Chavez, President of Venezuela. Public reaction to Putin is somewhat less friendly because of persisting associations with the enmity toward the former Soviet Union, while Chavez has been viewed with hostility in part because of the well-publicized speech he made at the United Nations in which he called George Bush the Devil. In recent years, the two leaders have shown some agreement on certain matters and have..."

Abstract
This paper provides the evidence of a fascist trend in the leadership of Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez, and the central reasons that support the growing radicalism of his policies. The paper notes that although the current colonialism of American and European companies existing within Venezuela is immoral and unjust to the Venezuelan people, the military governance of Chavez is technically being conducted along fascist or dictatorial lines through his power and control over the National Assembly.

Abstract
The paper looks closely at a biography of Cesar Chavez, written by Ferriss and Sandoval and compares his struggle for social justice with the concepts written about in Takaki's "Strangers from a Different Shore." The paper specifically uses the ideas of racial uniforming, ethnic solidarity and ethnic antagonism to explore the troubles Chavez faced and the troubles still existing today.
From the Paper
"Social justice, while an element of the Catholic faith which Cesar Chavez ascribed too, is a deeply personal and humanistic need. Susan Ferriss and Ricardo Sandoval's (1997) biography of Cesar Chavez, entitled "The Fight in the Fields: Cesar Chavez and the Farm-worker's Movement," showcases the life, actions and philosophy of the central leader in the fight for rights for Mexican American farm-workers. In this work, the concepts described in Ronald Takaki's (1998) "A History of Asian Americans: Strangers from a Different Shore," namely racial uniforming, ethnic solidarity and ethnic antagonism are alluded to and described in their relation to the struggle made for equal rights by the Mexican farm-workers. The most obvious, or most visual, element of American racism takes the form of what can be described as a racial uniform."

Abstract
An analysis of Venezuelan president Hugo Chavez' defeat in 2007 on the constitutional referendum to a coalition of student groups and former supporters.
From the Paper
"In 2007, the Chavez regime in Venezuela experienced its first major setback when it lost a referendum to amend the Venezuelan constitution. This defeat of the bombastic leader was all the more remarkable given that the government has systematically quelled dissent and shut down avenues for opposition forces to make their cases to the Venezuelan people. Despite this political reality, Chavez saw his referendum defeated by a movement that began on the streets as student protests against closing a television station, but that grew into a broad coalition against..."

Abstract
This paper presents Cesar Chavez as one of the most historically significant figures associated with the civil rights movement. The paper discusses Chavez's actions on behalf of the Latino farm worker. The paper explores Chavez's quiet perseverance, which created a legacy of change and awareness. The paper explains how Chavez learned, through his own experiences and through the example of historically great and influential teachers, that the best way to change those things that need to be changed is to first understand them through listening and then act on them through aggressive nonviolence.
From the Paper
"The Latino farm worker was a quiet voice in the wilderness of the American market economy. Many migrant workers were mistreated and worked for slave like wages that rarely kept their family fed and helped them live almost exclusively in squalor. They were given little for the backbreaking work they did, while they attempted to feed clothe and educate themselves and their children. Yet, as loud a voice as the name, Cesar Chaves implies his tactics were often as quiet as the meek voices of those he attempted to help. It was with this quiet perseverance that Chavez created a legacy of change and awareness."

He spent his adult life organizing and teaching the masses how to force farm employers to provide the workers with fair pay and benefits(United Farm Workers). He began his life in 1927 when he was born just outside of Yuma, Arizona(United Farm Workers). His parents named him after his grandfather(United Farm Workers).
