Abstract This paper presents a brief biography of the dancer, Isadora Duncan, as well as a description of her philosophy of the dance form. The paper also discusses her influence on and contribution to modern dance.
From the Paper "Duncan's personal success as a dancer should not diminish what is perhaps her greater contribution, her success as a teacher and a creator of her own tradition. She began her first school in Grunewald, Germany in 1904, selecting children from the poorer classes and providing completely for all their physical and materials need from her own pocket. Later, she established schools in both Russia and Paris. Interestingly enough, these schools are proudly proclaimed as providing an unbroken legacy of tradition with their founders. ?The existence of Isadora's dances lies in the transmission of the choreographies from one dancer to another in an unbroken line of generations of Duncan dancers,? writes Lori Belivoe in the periodical and press release of the foundation that bears Isadora's name. (Belivoe, Isadora Duncan Foundation for Contemporary Dance, "Isadora Duncan Legacy and Schools") Duncan's indefinable, inexact balance between classicism and personal, inner artistic poetic expression manifested in dance thus became a "tradition" in and of itself."
Abstract This paper presents the findings of an article written after testing two specific hypotheses: (1) that the ski boot in its standard setting causes a misalignment of two measurements of knee angles as compared to the natural barefoot position; and (2) that both canting and boot rotation affect on varus valgus (VV) and internal-external rotation (IRER) angles as well.

Summary
From the Paper "Knee injuries are some of the most interesting issues in orthopedics and sports medicine from the perspective of both prevention and treatment. The analysis of biomechanical causation is crucial to understanding acute traumatic knee injuries as well as long-term chronic knee problems commonly presenting in athletes at all levels of involvement.
"In the case of knee injuries in skiers, one testable hypothesis is the component of causation that relates to ski boots. By design, ski boots are intended to provide external support and maintenance of advantageous ankle and knee flexion and tibial angular orientation with respect to the perpendicular as measured between the skier and the ski
slope. Previous research has established a relationship between external ankle support in general and specifically, the way that altering or restricting the natural motion of the ankle joint contributes to changes in the mechanical load on anatomical structures in the knee."
Abstract This paper examines the success achieved by the Dabbawallahs of Mumbai who have been supplying lunch boxes over the past century to hundreds of thousands of working employees in Mumbai, one of the most densely populated cities in the world. The writer examines their modus operandi and operations management strategy in detail.
This paper also examines the factors that have contributed to the attainment of Six Sigma status by the Dabbawallahs, which most companies strive hard to achieve, and which the Mumbai Dabbawallahs attained despite the low literacy level among the employees. An in-depth analysis is made of the strategy adopted by the Mumbai Dabbawallahs and relates it to the basic concepts of operations management and supply chain management. The paper concludes with recommendations on how their services can be improved and expanded. This paper contains a table.

From the Paper "The Dabbawallahs of Mumbai offer a classic example of the importance of punctuality and time management in operation management and supply chain management. They also illustrate that operations can be managed effectively without the use of technology contrary to the misconception that quality in operations can be achieved only through the use of technology. The Dabbawallahs of Mumbai, a city with a population of around 19 million (BBC, 2008) offer pick up and supply of around 200,000 lunch boxes every day (Hindustan Times, 2006) with a negligible error margin."
Abstract This paper describes the "The Andy Griffith Show" in which Griffith playing Andy Taylor, a young sheriff of a small town in the American south. The show's visual and audio styles, theme song, tone, family values and characters, including barefoot Opie and Gomer Pyle are all described. The paper also discusses the work of Sheldon Leonard, the driving force behind many 60s Top Ten Nielsen television hits including not only this show but also "The Danny Thomas Show" and "The Dick Van Dyke Show".
From the Paper "Andy Griffith had two spin-offs that made it on their own. Jim Nabors took the character of the dim-witted hick, Gomer Pyle and ran with it in a sitcom featuring Gomer in the marines. Mayberry, R.F.D. was just "The Andy Griffith Show" retooled due to the departure of Andy in 1968. There was no rocket science involved. Leonard and Thomas took a successful idea and cloned it as long as the traffic would bear.
"The show had as its theme simple homespun stories of family values and simple people."
