Abstract This paper contends that rape shield statutes should exist and be enforced to protect the rape victims from unnecessary harassment in court and increase the chances of conviction. Rape shield laws are designed to protect women from defense attorneys who attempt to introduce irrelevant evidence of a victim's past sexual conduct (Barrett, 1987, p. 57; Bachman & Paternoster, 1993, p. 557).

Abstract This paper presents a candid account of the writer's opinion of the author, Stephen King. The paper provides examples from some of his literary works, illustrating his claimed genius. King's substance abuse is discussed, pointing out the influence it had on some of his novels. The writer concludes that, despite what anyone might say - King himself included, Stephen King is a master of literary form and, most of all, a master of the game of storytelling.

Abstract This paper will discuss the need for bilingual education within the school systems of today, By acknowledging the theories of such linguists as Valdez, Krashen, Faltis, Bachman and others, we can see how the theories may have a vantage point, but the funding for such theories does not always prove the theories that they have applied here.
