Abstract This paper offers a brief biography of these two scientists. It includes a look at their personal history, their education, and their discoveries. George Washington Carver was an African American agriculturist on a plantation in Missouri. Robert Hutchings Goddard, known as the ?Father of Modern Rocketry,? was a physicist from Worcester, who launched the first liquid-propelled rocket.
From the Paper "George Washington Carver was born and raised on the Moses Carver plantation in Diamond Grove, MO. He was not strong enough to work in the fields, so he did household chores and gardening, giving him early exposure to his future career. By the age of 10, he was known as the "plant doctor" and had begun to search for a formal education. Carver eventually made his way to Simpson College where he had to study piano and painting because they didn?t offer any science classes. Intent on a science career, he transferred to Iowa Agricultural College (now Iowa State University), where he was the first black student."

Though the past record remains relatively scant in regards, anthropologists have used existing ones as a locus of study and interpretation. More numerous than surviving hunter-gatherer groups, horticultural societies also show an incredible range of gender diversity between groups, more numerous, in fact, than any other extent societal model. The quantity of studies that has come as a result of this are astounding. Those done in the area of New Guinea alone, home to at least two hundred different horticultural societies, provide ample evidence to add weight to the debate of nurture over nature, by sheer examples of the differences in living and understanding gender roles in such a relatively small and homogenous environmental area. Abstract This paper discusses how ethanol extraction from corn is altering the cultivation and distribution pattern of this major crop in the United States in a significant manner. While the proponents of ethanol as an additive to gasoline are enthusiastic about the transformation it has brought about in the rural areas of United States by creating job opportunities and reducing fuel costs, critics are equally vehement in their view of the criminal neglect of hunger facing humanity in less developed parts of the world, as a vital food cereal is being 'burnt' uneconomically to provide fuel for running vehicles. The paper examines both aspects critically by putting forward the scientifically derived opinions of agriculturists and economists from both factions.
