Abstract
The paper discusses how crime and the control thereof are ongoing social problems, which exact a heavy financial and emotional toll, therefore, theorists have sought to explain crime, so as to find ways to minimize and control it. The paper explains that meso-level criminological theories are theories that attempt to explain crime in terms of social interaction, and in these theories, the focus is pulled further back from the individual than is the case in micro-level theories, to embrace both the individual and the individual's context.

Abstract
This paper discusses Agnew's strain theory of criminology that deviant behavior is likely to be triggered by virtue of anger. Research that shows that males are more at risk of criminal behavior is included in the paper. The paper then studies this research together with the strain theory to explore the several possible associations that suggest possible mechanisms explaining the apparent greater susceptibility of males to the negative consequences of stressful stimuli defined by general strain theory. The paper also analyzes social relationships and copings skills that females have that enable them to overcome negative emotions and anger to generate deviance and criminality.

"Expressing emotions and sharing frustrations is hardly the only aspect of gender-specific socialization that affects males and predisposes them disproportionately to the risk of reacting to strains in deviant, criminal, or violent manners. To a certain extent, males of most biological species including human beings are larger and more powerful than females as a result of evolutionary necessity. Higher testosterone levels and other inherent differences between the genders contributes to the greater male tendency to confrontations and to violence under the influence of comparable internal frustrations and external provocations."

Abstract
This paper is based on the book The Geography of the World Economy by Paul Knox and John Agnew. It will use the first nine chapters of the book in order to discuss the debate why the world economy might have originated in Asia instead of Europe.

Abstract
This paper explains that, whereas occurrences of male homicides are spread across the myriad circumstances, incidences of female homicide are clustered very narrowly around domestic crimes of intimacy involving significant others. To further investigate this phenomena, the author reviews Merton's general strain theory of deviant behavior, Agnew's strain theory of criminology and the structured action theory of criminology. The paper presents two preferred methods of research for this field and reviews some of the research literature.

Abstract
This paper explains that the Watergate Scandal refers to a series of events spread over several years surrounding President Richard Nixon's administration and his alleged abuse of power while in office which encompassed the political undermining of the anti-war movement (Vietnam), the Democratic political party, embarrassing and inculpatory behavior by the administration and subsequent reporting by the press. The author reviews the timeline, events and major players in this scandal including President Richard Nixon, Vice President Spiro Agnew, Special Watergate Prosecutor Archibald Cox, White House Counsel and possibly the original architect of the cover-up John Dean, Attorney General John Mitchell, Judge John Sirica and Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein, the "The Washington Post" reporters who uncovered the scandal. The paper concludes that the Watergate Scandal, which produced the first dual resignations of a president and vice president, indictments of forty prominent citizens and scarred the nation throughout the process, is the benchmark and term often applied to scandalous political behavior.

"John Mitchell as the Attorney General was a loyal supporter of Nixon. In September 1972, stories published by "The Washington Post" linked Mitchell with a $250,000 slush fund that paid for the Watergate burglaries. He made a famously vulgar remark about the fact that if the stories were published, there would be political repercussions. He was right and later prosecuted for perjury, obstruction of justice, and conspiracy. Elliot Richardson, the Attorney General (after Richard Kleindienst), appointed Archibald Cox as special prosecutor and later refused to fire him. Richardson and Deputy Attorney General William D. Ruckelshaus both resigned during the "Saturday Night Massacre". John Sirica presided over the Watergate trials, while he was the Chief Judge of the US District Court for the District of Columbia. He was considered a maverick on the bench and actively questioned the witnesses and defendants during this trial. He surmised that the participants in the Watergate trial were not being truthful in their assertions. He ordered that the original audiotapes containing the recorded conversations be presented to the court, not the transcripts. The Supreme Court upheld this ruling in July, 1974, thus leading to the resignation of Nixon in August, 1974."

Abstract
This paper shall use the books "Global Shift: Industrial Change in a Turbulent World" by Peter Dickens and "The Geography of the World Economy" by Paul Knox and John Agnew in order to assess how capital organization in transnational companies have changed over the past twenty- five years and how such changes have created a new international division of labor. A strong emphasis shall be applied to the role of women in the industrial society during this period in order to better clarify the direction and the force of such changes. One outside source shall also be consulted to support this thesis.

Abstract
In this paper the author argues that the relative deprivation theory and the general strain theory best explain domestic violence, as well as the high rate of recidivism in domestic violence cases, despite punishment.

"The relative deprivation theory believes that domestic violence occurs when there is a significant difference in the achievements of each of the members of the couple. In general, in my opinion, these tend to be professional achievements and the theory is best exemplified by those couples where the husband is unemployed or having a job that is not satisfying, while the wife is earning much more than him and is the one contributing most to the family budget."
