Abstract
This paper opens with a look at the mainstream media. Its focus is the mainstream media on television, and more specifically the delivery of news by the American Broadcasting Corporation. Part of the piece is a brief history of ABC, but the author also examines various stories and dissects them. What the writer looks for in his analysis are such things as details, delivery and whether or not the stories are objective. The paper concludes that contemporary television is not a "subjective science" but rather a "subjective art".
From the Paper
"Opposing points of view are finally presented on February 15, with two separate reports on Lindsay Graham and John McCain. Senator Graham is shown saying that bipartisanship is almost nonexistent in the new administration if such a large stimulus bill can be passed by Democrats. He also remarks that the country is "screwed." Senator McCain declares the "New Politics" off to a bad start. The next day it is back to more coverage of Obama's stimulus plan, and his auto task force. A second story goes into more detail about how the auto task force will help with restructuring of the automobile industry. Once more, the network shows its biases by allowing fairly extensive coverage of President Obama's plans while limiting coverage of Republican opposition to nasty-sounding condemnations of the President's plans. Additional stories reveal Obama's continuing concern for the American people and the liberal agenda: he honors victims of a car crash, plans to lift the stem cell ban, and is traveling to Denver (once a Republican stronghold) to sign the stimulus bill. Another story proclaims the President's determination to tackle housing problems next. Overall, the pattern is one of the President as caring and dutiful."

Diversity Management at ABC Aviation
Conclusions
From the Paper
"The contemporaneous business community is being constantly marker by new features which generate change and force companies to develop along and adapt. One such change is the increased focus on the human resource, which is no longer seen as the force operating the machines, but has become the company's most valuable asset on their path to organizational success. Given this understanding of the staff, the company increases its efforts to offering a maximum satisfaction on the job and motivating employees. And to such extent has this motivational strategy been used, that some initial incentives are now a constant in the life of an employee, in the meaning that they are given, not expected and regarded as incentives. Such an example is the cultural diversity within numerous companies. It is also true that whereas some organizations have gone to extreme lengths to make a statement on diversity, others have gone to no effort."

The paper observes ABC's operations and organizational structure and dicusses initiatives that could lead to improved profitability and revenue.
Table of Contents:

Consumer Division
Summary
From the Paper
"To summarize the circumstances for ABC, they include plenty of opportunity for growth. One item that has not been mentioned above but should be considered is to network all the computers and perhaps purchase a server that would allow for internet access and website hosting. Not only is this method more cost efficient, it is also much more secure than allowing the individual usage currently allowed, and ABC should be cognizant of the pitfalls of not being secure. Events taking place in the electronic media include identity theft, embezzlement and hacking into company files for nefarious reasons. The company must ensure the utmost privacy for its own transactions as well as that of its employees."

From the Paper
"The evacuated-tube system is used in a commercial setting. Most residential systems are either the flat-plate collector type, or the integral collector-storage system (US DOE, 2008). Circulation systems can be either direct or indirect systems. The direct system pumps water through the collectors and into the house. They are used in climates that do not experience freezing temperatures. The indirect heating system circulates non-freezing heat-transfer fluid through the collectors and heat exchanger (US DOE, 2008). The water then flows into the home. These units are more popular in climates where freezing temperatures occur (US DOE, 2008)."

Abstract
This paper presents the ABC Widget Company's handbook on employee privacy rights. The privacy rights issues addressed in the handbook include the following: The rights of workers to personal privacy in the workplace, information technology and email privacy, and expectations and requirements of ABC for its employees in the exercise of their duties and responsibilities in the workplace.
From the Paper
"In the Age of Information, there are increasing concerns being voiced about what can legitimately be expected to be kept private, and how these issues affect employees' rights in the workplace. According to Hayden, Hendricks and Novak (1990, most adults spend approximately one-half of their waking hours in the workplace today, and it is therefore not surprising that employment practices affect a broad range of privacy rights. With the sole exception of polygraph ("lie-detector") testing, there are not many areas of workplace activities that are addressed by the U.S. Constitution or national privacy laws. As a result, employers in the United States have a great deal of flexibility in collecting data on their employees, regulating their access to personnel files, and disclosing the contents of employee files to those outside the organization. Besides the issue of personnel files, workplace privacy involves such practices as polygraph testing, drug testing, computer and telephone monitoring, and interference with personal lifestyle (Hayden et al., 1990)."

Abstract
This is a brief report regarding the objectives and planning process for the development and analysis of an accounting and strategic plan. The paper focuses on the ABC company and specifically the company budgeting. It also looks at plans for the company to grow and prosper in the future.
From the Paper
"Organization Analysis: As controller of ABC company I must state that there are several issues which have come to my attention for review if we are to be competitive in the future. Several of these issues may not completely need changed but must be adjusted in order to eliminate costs which have been leading to the company's current reduction in profit margin. What I am referring to specifically is the planning of the organization and the budgeting that will aid our company in its efforts to continually grow and prosper. Our organization, as it exists today cannot continue on a plan that was originally designed a decade ago with only minor modifications. Costs structures have changed as well as technological advancements been improved and are now affordable. "

Abstract
In order to make an informed determination as to whether a branch of ABC Cosmetics Co. can be established in Spain, this paper examines Spain's geography, demographics, political and social structure, culture, business climate, economics, and potential. Subsequently, the paper provides recommendations in accordance with the findings.
From the Paper
"As for U.S./Spanish relations, both countries are NATO allies as well as developed democracies. Spain has historically been one of the largest export markets for the United States (the U.S. had a $2 billion trade surplus with Spain in 2001), and Spain has been an ally in the war on terrorism since the September 11th attacks. That's the good news. The bad news is, U.S. firms pay higher duties than its European and Japanese counterparts, giving the U.S. exporter a competitive disadvantage. However, this can be augmented with lower production costs if economies of scale can be achieved."

Abstract
This paper analyzes the reasons behind the two entertainment mega-powers' - Disney Co. and ABC - decision to merge in the content and distribution sections of their value chain. It investigates textually and graphically the economical advantages and the potential effects this decision will hold on the companies individually.
From the Paper
"Another trend in the value chain is to integrate downward towards the end customer. In other words, companies will sell packages of content tailored to an individual's tastes and preferences, instead of a bulk package sold to everyone (disney.com, 1998). This is another advantage that the acquisition of distribution provides. The acquisition of distribution provides closeness to the customer and cross-selling opportunities. It provides the possibility of developing new products, differentiating existing products, and catering to individual customer needs Catering to individual needs can yield higher profit margins than selling an undifferentiated commodity."
