From the Paper:

"A study, which views measurement form a different perspective, is The use of narrative in the study of caring: A critique by Helena M. Priest (2000). This article makes the point that although there are many quantifiable tests that all produce a form of valid result, yet the most appropriate form of measure is one that can ascertain the way in which the nurse interacts with the patient and the effect of this interaction. She suggests a more appropriate tool of measurement in narrative analysis, which draws from many methodologies and fields of discourse and is aimed at giving attention to the story that the patient tells. This is suggested as an alternative to the more quantifiable measures of Watson's caring model."
