From the Paper:
"Organizations may blend observational methods with an element of quantitative research to provide solutions to real-life questions such as timing how long it takes for a customer to complete a transaction, how shelf placement affects the sale of products, or deciding the number of checkout counters to operate by observing queue patterns. Reality TV is a recent phenomenon that turns TV viewers into observers - it allows viewers to observe foreign cultures and societies, and understand their behavior and emotions."
