Public Partnership in Education

Paper Summary:

This paper discusses the need for partnerships within which public agencies of shared interests and goals can help one another further common or overlapping causes. The paper specifically discusses the need for such partnerships within the public education system. The need for support for students with disabilities is also examined.

"And finally, and of critical importance, a core leadership group must provide oversight to the program in order to best determine which elements of the agreement are effective, which will require improvement and what methods should be employed to keep the agreement functional and continually evolving. As with any public policy, the partnership described here may be subject to evolution, change and all manner of evaluative demand for change. Thus, the partnership must remain always fresh, flexible and conscious of the interests of the public which it has been forged to serve."
