Rather, it is a dynamic field that continues to evolve in ways that offer greater and greater benefits to successive generations of students. The many ethical obligations of professional educators vary substantially at different levels of education, but in general principle, emphasize impartial treatment of students, a commitment to professional development commensurate with the rate that the field develops as a whole, and the maintenance of intellectual objectivity in the presentation of ideas, particularly in secondary education."
