"Pablo Ruiz Picasso (full name Pablo Diego Jose Francisco de Paula Juan Nepomuceno Maria de los Remedios Cipriano de la Santisima Trinidad Clito Ruiz y Picasso) was born on October 25, 1881 in Malaga, Spain. He was the first son of Jose Ruiz y Blasco, a professor at the local school of Fine Arts and Crafts, and Maria Picasso y Lopez. Picasso's family was middle-class, but with the birth of their two other children, Lola in 1884 and Conchita in 1887, they were struggling to make ends meet. When Ruiz was offered a job as a professor at the School of Fine Arts, he accepted it immediately, and the Picassos moved to the provincial capital of La Coruna, where they lived for the next four years."
