Abstract
Facts on Outsourcing Information Technology

From the Paper:

"Deciding to outsource causes a reflective look at the company and operations. Performing a Current Status Assessment (CSA) may prove beneficial to the company as management tries to make a decision. The CSA could provide useful information about the total organization's ability to respond to threats and embrace opportunities. The CSA could facilitate a revision of processes and resource allocation. In any event, a CSA would provide actionable data which could provide the basis for comparing the organization to the industry and whether or not the capability exists in-house to manage the total IT effort."
