From the Paper:

"A learning outcome is a statement that specifies the knowledge or skill that a learner will acquire as a result of an educational program (Alonso, Lopez, Manrique, & Vives, 2008). Learning outcomes assist the educator by identifying specifically what will be achieved by the learning process and provides a pathway for evaluating students comprehension. Learning outcomes are based on the needs assessment and supports the desired conditions identified in the gap assessment. To achieve the most effective learning outcomes, the cognitive, affective and psycho-motor domains will be utilized in this educational program. The learning outcomes for this educational program are: correctly identify each level of each category of the Braden scale, identify the purpose of the Braden scale, correctly apply the Braden scale in a acute care setting and identify and implement appropriate actions to address low Braden scale scores.
