From the Paper:

"In the past few decades, non-verbal communications in the physician-patient relationship have emerged as an important but often overlooked aspect within the medical field. The rapid pace of the medical field faced by medical professions has resulted in an almost dehumanizing of the profession's patients. A review of the literature in addition to my observations indicates that non-verbal communication and persuasion by the patient's physician can have a positive and lasting effect on the patient."
