Microsoft Employee Relations
This paper describes the Microsoft company as not being an employee supportive environment.
743 words (approx. 3 pages) | 3 sources | MLA | 2007 United States

Paper Summary:

The paper relates that, at Microsoft, there is a lack of respect by management and administration for the people who work for the company. The paper examines how the company did not make every effort to comply with employment laws until it came under recent public fire for its practices. The paper discusses Microsoft's refusal to become partners with its workers as seen in the recent fight to maintain its workforce. The paper criticizes Microsoft for withdrawing its support for gay rights and argues that this indicates it is not as employee supportive and forward thinking as it claims to be.

From the Paper:

"Microsoft is the grandfather of computer software for the modern age. Its founder Bill Gates has been named the wealthiest man on earth for the past 12 years and the company has been successfully sued several times for conducting its business as a monopoly in the industry. While Gates and his organization are often referred to as an example of how the American Dream can come true, there have been problems along the way in the method the company handles its workers. The current perception of the company's human resources department is that the company does not treat its employees well."
