From the Paper:

"Leadership is a term that is difficult to define, and therefore difficult to study. However elusive the concept remains, developing skills of effective leadership is a much sought after goal of managers and executives today. Many factors weigh on the effectiveness of leaders. Results that leaders achieve depend on the situation, leader and follower attributes, and how much power and influence a leader actually holds. There are many theories that attempt to explain the leadership process. A researcher may develop theories based on his own personal definition and level of conceptualization. The theory developed can emphasize leaders, followers, or circumstances as a basis for explaining leadership strategies and processes. No matter which leadership theory is developed, the grand importance of interpersonal relationships in the workplace may not be denied."
