The paper discusses the need for situational leadership where employees look to the leadership of the company when deciding what path to follow. The paper then relates that the call of the leader resides within three domains of people, strategy and crisis, and in order to effectively lead in such an admittedly diverse and real situation, leaders must be able to delineate their areas of focus. "A leader's most important role with whatever their organization may be is to make good judgments. These judgments must be well-informed and wise decisions which produce for the company the anticipated ends. Should a leader show a pattern of good judgment, little else matters in regards to their performance, however should they exhibit poor judgment on a regular bass, nothing else matters. (Bennis, Tichy 94) Thus, the leader of any organization must be the model upon which the employees are expected to mold their behaviors. The leadership of an organization is held ultimately accountable for the success or failure of the corporation, and thus their behavior and modes of operation are of particular importance to the organizational whole."
