A look at the definition and importance of a good health care policy.
836 words (approx. 3.3 pages) | 5 sources | APA | 2009 Kenya

Paper Summary:

This paper relates that the term healthcare policy includes the institutions that can be termed as stakeholders in the healthcare provision and their relationship with the consumers of healthcare. The paper further relates these institutions include insurance companies, organizations that provide health benefits to their employees as well as the hospitals. In particular, the paper examines the importance of an affordable and good healthcare policy and concludes that the U.S. needs to model its health care policy on that of other countries.

From the Paper:

"A good healthcare should ensure that patients in their sickbeds do not spend valuable energy thinking about how the bills will get settled instead a good Healthcare policy should ensure that they concentrate on their healing as opposed to worrying over how bills will be paid. Sometimes however the problem may be posed by the patient's ignorance of the Healthcare policy. It is important that the Healthcare policy is one that is easily comprehensible to the patients. It is sad to have patients running in to problems just because there is a certain clause that they misinterpreted in the agreement. The Healthcare policy of the US is fairly inclusive in the sense that it includes every American citizen as well as stakeholders from the surgeon who conducts the expensive surgery to the clinic doctor who takes care of the homeless individual and families that do not have health insurance plans.
