This paper discusses the issues concerning global warming and references corresponding scenes in the movie, "The Day After Tomorrow", that relate to this issue. The paper is more focused on the issue of global warming and uses the movie as a modern reference to the idea of social issues in mainstream entertainment.

From the Paper:

"Movies have always been viewed as entertainment, but there are many movies that are also very instrumental in educating people on important issues as well. One such movie is "The Day After Tomorrow," starring Dennis Quaid and Jake Gyllenhaal, which addresses the important subject of global warming and its effects on the world. Global warming has been a topic of interest for quite some time because it is real, and it affects everyone on Earth. If we don't do something to slow global warming, it could be catastrophic. This is what the movie depicts."
