Culturally competent is the designation that is utilized to describe a health care facility (usually a hospital) that answers the needs of a diverse population through services and employee/volunteer training that recognizes cultural diversity assists cultural minority individuals through specific important access points, and services to achieve a better patient outcome, overall."
