# 93001
Computer Literacy Tests
A review of the available computer literacy tests for a medium-sized (500-person) workplace.
1,713 words (approx. 6.9 pages) | 4 sources | MLA | 2006 United States

Paper Summary:

This paper takes a look at the computer literary tests available for use in a business of medium size. The paper reviews the various factors that need to be taken into consideration when selecting computer literary test software. The paper specifically reviews Microsoft Office Specialist, Typing Master and Tested OK software.

Outline:
Microsoft Office Specialist
Typing Master
Tested OK Software
Overall Assessment of the Three

From the Paper:

"For individuals wishing to practice their skills, because TypingMaster has a fully featured web-based tutor, any computer with an Internet connection in the office can study for the test with a virtual tutor, as is also true of the Microsoft Office Specialist. "This hosted service requires no installation or maintenance and you always stay up to date with program improvements." (TypingMaster, 2006, Official Website) Thus the tutoring as well as tests are shorter than those offered by Microsoft Office Specialist, and although the final program offers the worker no incentive of certification, the skills assessed are still necessary, and can be assessed in relatively quicker and easier to administrate fashion, in a small but busy office.
