An educator is obligated to strive towards helping their students realize their potential while assisting them in becoming an effective member of society. (NEA) The Code of Ethics of the Education Profession as presented by the National Education Association, in particular Principle I, provides a valuable outline of these concepts, although given the significance of the issue, is accompanied by a great deal of other literature."
