It specifically focuses on the effect of pairing up of the members of the class and the outcome that resulted.

"This one classroom has used these ideas in a small way in order to motivate the students by pairing them so that they would speak together and challenge one another as they undertook the project at hand. Different styles of conflict management can be detailed and can be used in the classroom, but all can be directed to managing conflict in the classroom while also developing an improved strategy for communication in the classroom. The style depends in part on the person using it, and person's with different views take different problem-solving approaches. The best solution is one which also motivates learning, and in this way the teacher can achieve several things at the same time with one choice. Learning is a group as well as an individual activity, with the participation of the group freeing the individual to learn along with the group. Learning in this sort of situation is not a matter of rote learning and is not rigid so that the lesson is clearly stated. Instead, the point is to develop critical thinking along with the ability to ask questions when uncertain of the answer. Such training should better prepare the student to learn by observing, to raise more questions, to find his or her answers as possible, and to know where to look for answers when that does not suffice."
