Specifically, the researcher is concerned with assessing recent trends in the automobile industry to decide what if any factors have contributed to consumers' recent preferences for foreign vs. domestic automobiles. Further, the intent of this research is to provide a frame of reference for U.S. domestic automobile manufacturers looking to boost their sales and re-establish their reputation in the automobile industry.
