From the Paper:

"In order to understand just how far behind today's managers are in relation to being properly trained for handling conflict in the workplace, one must only Google the phrase "Are today's managers properly trained to handle conflict in the workplace?" Resulting from the search will be page upon page of links to information concerning training and providing company information for organizations that specialize in training managers in conflict resolution in the workplace. The research in this work in writing was informed by an article written by Poon (2007) entitled: "Conflict Resolution in the Workplace and Management Tips" that it is essential that the manager comprehend "various laws and policies" in order to be prepared in handling conflict in the workplace as well as being able to "deal with employee morale and motivation, absenteeism, low performance quality and conflict between employees.""
