The purpose of this study is to assess the contribution to economic efficiency in industrial environments of the application of technological innovation. Within the context of this study, a primary objective is to define the importance of technological innovation beyond the sphere of technology. The scope of the proposed study includes all industrial applications of technological innovation. The findings of the study are presented in five-chapters, the first three explaining the methodology and literature, the research results are presented in the fourth chapter, and conclusions drawn from the study are found in the final chapter.

"Much later, on the premise "bureaucracy is bad," many organizations reduced formal rules, procedures, and controls (Bart, 1994). Formal systems and procedures, however, tended to remain as the principal management and control mechanisms in large organizations. While some degree of informality may benefit the innovation, there is a point beyond which benefits are transformed into detriments."
