From the Paper:

"Target Corporation should seek to increase its current market share by 20 percent by 2011. The Target stores division should be the focus of this strategy due to their exceptional performance as compared to competing stores. Target Corporation should establish a goal of opening 10 new Target stores in its less exposed areas to increase market share. However, marketing expenditures such as advertising, promotion, and research need to be increased annually based on the increase in sales. A market development strategy to be implemented is to establish a goal of opening 25 new Target super centers (SuperTargets) by the year 2011."
