Specifically, the paper looks at Pittsfield Community First, a local organization which has legitimate security concerns vis-?vis the arrival of Wal-Mart in its community. The organization is also troubled by the petty crime it feels certain will accompany a big-box Wal-Mart store and by the strain it will place upon an already over-taxed local infrastructure.
