This paper describes the recent develops in the field of abnormal psychology and gives descriptions of a multitude of various mental illnesses included in the Diagnostic Statistics Manual, Volume IV (DSM IV). The paper also includes information on diagnosing mental illnesses and treatment.
From the Paper:
"The burden remains on the therapist to prove or document that the patient's symptoms have clinically caused the effect being studied, where relative impairment represents a broader range of potentialities, which raises or expands the standard by which to achieve resolution or integrate the effect of chronic stress in general. Once again, we see where the clinical stress is generic to all disorders, and that is the specific disorder that is diagnosed as separate from the common aspects of general ailments that have been clinically documented previously by research."
