From the Paper:

"An understanding of the current industry trends in computer security is important to properly acknowledgment of this issue, and relates to potential solutions for the future. One of the problems that businesses face that affects the security of their computer systems is the constant turnover of IT employees. As a result, information systems' staff continually find themselves in a challenging position; the industry is constantly changing, and the skills they have learned today will be obsolete tomorrow. Thus, the effective management of information systems' staff must have strong roots in recruitment, motivational work, and maintenance work. A good, integrated strategy for keeping information systems staff includes incentives, good communications, and an understanding of your culture. If the staff receives certifications on their own time at their own expense, they are more likely to seek a job elsewhere."
