From the Paper:

"Some nurses specialize to the degree that they actually remove themselves from hands on patient care all together. Nurses can take managerial positions and some specialize in nurse education, which requires higher education such as a Master's degree or even a Ph. D (Hatmaker, D., 2001; Heller, Gros, & Durney-Crowley, J. 2000). Some nurses teach other nurses at hospitals and universities, and one of the most common specialized nurses are the midwifery, where nurses deliver babies in hospitals, birthing centers or even at home (Stanhope & Lancaster, 2000).. Many women prefer the care of a midwife to that of an obstetrician and feel that midwifery offers a more holistic approach to the practice of childbirth."
