"This research examines the pursuit of international relations by the Americans, Chinese, North Koreans, South Koreans, Soviets, and the United Nations with respect to the conduct of the Korean War. For the most part, the time frame of this research is 1945-1953. August 1945 marked the end of the Second World War, and, in late-July 1953, a truce agreement was signed between North Korea (the Democratic Peoples Republic of Korea) and the United Nations Command. The truce agreement did not bring about an end to the war, but it did stop the fighting. By July 1991, the truce will have been in effect for 38 years; however, a state of war (undeclared as such on either side) will continue to exist ... "
