"The problem of child labor around the world is very significant with an estimated 250 million children between the ages of five and fourteen being put to work. Of these children who are working, an estimated 120 million are working on a full time basis. Furthermore, many of these children are working long hours under dangerous conditions. Especially throughout the continent of Asia, child labor is an enormous problem which causes many children in this region to face exploitation, health risks, deplorable conditions, and a limited time for education all for economic gain. There are many factors which contribute to the child labor crisis in Asia as well as numerous hurdles to solving the problem."
