They need to develop short-term, as well as, long-term diversity initiatives, such as improved internal structures/culture, reward systems and performance feedback. Gathering information about best practices is a good place to start. Ultimately, you'll need to identify what programs will be successful in your organization and how you will be able to measure that success.
"The need for diversity is important when it comes to healthcare management, says Rupert Evans, president and CEO of the Institute for Diversity in Health Management. "We need more minorities at the executive level," he says.
