This paper discusess the production of goods within a society. It examines a production possibility curve which reveals the levels of production that can be attained with given amounts of resources. The paper specifically focuses on the production of bread, from the point of view of its most important ingredients and its competitors in the market. The paper contains numerous graphs.

"As mentioned above, bread, rice, pasta, and potatoes are indirect competitors, as one does not combine these products on one dish, or even one meal. Therefore, certain price changes of one or more of these goods might affect the demand and supply for other goods. This could only happen if these goods would register extremely high increases regarding their price. However, given the production condition for these goods, it is quite difficult to believe that significant price increases might take place for rice, pasta, and potatoes."
