Global Population
A discussion regarding the division between global populations.
5,625 words (approx. 22.5 pages) | 1 source | 2005 United States

Paper Summary:

This paper discusses the massive global rift determined by materialism. According to this paper, some world countries can barely afford food and education is not even a consideration. Whereas, other countries survive in a culture based on materialism and lack nothing.

From the Paper:

"The inequality which divides the world is amazing, with 55 percent of the global population not even having the basic resources they need for subsistence. Meanwhile, the remainder of the global population has such an overabundance of goods that they have a culture of materialism. The person who lives in certain countries has no opportunities for a basic education and college is usually out of the question. The most surprising and disturbing point about life in many parts of the Third World is that people are forced to live on less than $600 per year. That amounts to less than two dollars per day."
