However on another level, what has become possibly more important today is the idea that the police and law enforcement authorities should communicate and connect with the public in order to provide a more effective and wide -ranging community oriented form of law enforcement. This paper will focus on the latter idea of what is meant by the changing role of the police and law enforcement in communication."
