In particular, the due process clause of the Fourteenth Amendment is analyzed to ascertain infringement of liberty, if any, upon the rights of minors to obtain an abortion without parental consent or notification, the rights of parents to be informed of such actions to maintain family unity, and the responsibility of the state to protect its citizens.
