All names and other identifying information have been changed as to reduce Jim's social vulnerability. It is necessary to explore the past behaviors of the subject in order to create a context in which current behavior occurs. Hepworth et al. find that "brief excursions into the past may be productive and enlightening" as a strategy to define why the decisions made in the past affect current behaviors, decisions, and outcomes."
