1,000 words (approx. 4 pages) | 1 source | MLA | 2003 United States

Paper Summary:

Looks at ancient Arabia in the time before the Koran and Muhammad, especially tribal history and tradition, by examining this ancient poem.

From the Paper:

"Islam has been a great influence on the modern Arabian world. However, there was a time before Muhammad revealed the Koran. In this time there was a rich culture developing in Arabia. The region is dry with the availability of water scarce and this society developed into a nomadic or Bedouin culture. Even when cities started to be established a reverence was still given to the Bedouin culture of the area."
