This paper examines how the movie "Extremities" consists of characters that have to make life-altering decisions. Majorie, the main character of the movie, is raped and almost murdered. This paper examines the decisions she makes, coming from a humanitarian point of view. The actions of the other characters - Joe and Pat, are also analyzed from an ethical point of view.

From the Paper:

"First-degree murder, voluntary manslaughter, rape and adultery are four serious crimes in the United States. Under Criminal Law, a person can be convicted fir committing these crimes. According to biblical and ethical viewpoints, these four crimes are also considered to be wrong. However, these crimes occur everyday. The movie Extremities portrays the thought or action of these crimes, as well as the moral or ethical reasoning behind these thoughts and acts. Marjorie and Joe are two main characters in this film who think or act out these crimes. Pat, Marjorie's roommate also plays an important part in Marjorie's decision."
