"The United States of America has been a country founded on immigration. In fact, it is one of the few nations whose original population consisted almost entirely of immigrants. The country promised freedoms that drew many people from their original lands. As time moved on and the nation prospered, more and more people began to press against her borders. Unfortunately, this caused many problems for the country. The economy and the community simply could not keep up with the influx of immigrants into America. The government recognized the problem and enacted legislation to try and regulate immigration. I, however, believe that these laws and regulations regarding immigration need to be much more strict and should be enforced more completely. This is the only way to keep our country from collapsing under the immigration problem. I will be discussing five sources of information relating to the current problem of immigration and possible ways to solve it."
