This paper explains that by examining the issue of euthanasia, it can be seen that it is impossible for justice to be experienced by all. As is seen, rational decisions are not taken into account when it comes to doctor-assisted suicide. It explains that individuals who would rather end their pain by ending their lives are not allowed the freedom to do so and are being denied their constitutional rights. Until such individuals are allowed this dignity, justice has been nullified.
From the Paper:
"If properly considered, euthanasia is not an awful thing. Certainly, no one would agree that a physician should rush to make such a decision as assisted suicide. Death is permanent and individuals wishing to die should certainly be counseled. It is very important to remember that euthanasia is not killing in the traditional sense. It must be viewed as an act of compassion toward another living individual that has expressed his or her wishes. If an individual believes that this is the way they want to end her or her life, then the suffering should stop. Prolonging the process may result in the individual becoming completely unable to express their desires."
